This week at the oaks has been one of the busiest since we have taken over. Our weekly stocking of big trout are finally starting to pay off as a lot of them were caught this week. Albert skeet caught I trout on the fly weighing 6lb. albert was fishing from a boat using a cats whisker. Andy deery caught 4 trout which all weighed 3lb except one that weighed 7lb. andy caught all of his trout on a cats whisker with intermediate line. He was also fishing from a boat. Theo de groot caught 4 trout on a boat fishing with the worm. He had one at 4lb and the other 3 were 3.5lb, 3lb and 2.5lb. mark mc groaty caught 5 trout fishing from a boat on the fly. One trout weighed 8lb and the rest averaged around 2.5lb. he caught all of his trout on the most success fly of the week…. The cats whisker! Andy deery returned later in the week to catch a trout at 8lb, 6lb and 4lb. he caught on the famous cats whisker with an intermediate line once again. Derrick mc bride caught 3 trout weighing up to 3lb on the fly fishing from a boat. The fly he was using also a cats whisker. John coyle caught trout at 2lb from a boat fishing with worms. Jamie healey was fishing for pike and trout and caught 3 pike one at 9lb and the other two at 5lb. Jamie also caught 7 trout fishing with small lead head flies as the trout were down deep and he only had a floating line. His trout weighed 11lb, 6lb, 5.5lb and the rest averaged from 2lb to 3lb. mc cauley henry caught 1 trout weighing 2lb on the worm fishing from the bank. Peter wade caught 7 trout weighing up to 6lb. he caught them using a sinking line and a cats whisker.  He was fishing from a boat. Dean and eoghan Loughery were both fishing from the bank using worms. The both caught a trout each weighing 2lb each. Stephen gamble caught 2 pike on a weedless froggy fishing from a boat in the lilly pads. one weighing 7lb and the other weighing 3.5lb. Stephen also missed several large double figure pike during the week.
 
 
 
This week at the oaks we have a lot of tagged fish that have cash prizes if their caught!!
